At Katie Montgomery Design, we believe the best interiors tell a story - one that blends who you are, what you've done, and where you want to go. That philosophy is rooted in my own background: I started as a production designer for film, where I learned how every detail contributes to a bigger narrative. Antiquing with my mom as a kid sparked a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and the history of vintage pieces. Later, time in the corporate world sharpened my ability to bring creative visions to life by collaborating across diverse teams and disciplines. Today, I bring all of that experience into my design work. I see myself as a creative partner - someone who listens closely, helps clients clarify their vision, and brings together thoughtful, layered interiors that feel deeply personal. Antiques and vintage finds are a big part of our process not just for the character they bring, but because they're inherently sustainable. Reworking and reintegrating pieces with history adds richness to a space while reducing environmental impact. Our goal is to create homes that feel intentional, collected, and lived-in from day one - spaces that reflect our clients' past, support their present, and inspire where they're headed next.
